New Agenda focuses on "Great Ideas for Kentucky"
Improving education. Saving energy. Promoting healthy living. Reducing crime. These were among the ideas Kentuckians submitted in 2007 in an effort to make the Commonwealth a better place to live and work.
“Great Ideas for Kentucky” is a compilation of 100 of the best ideas submitted to the New Agenda for Kentucky project through this Web site and community meetings held around the state. More than 400 ideas were submitted during the six-month process. In addition to the list of 100, the New Agenda for Kentucky Task Force developed five themes that could transform the Commonwealth:
- Preparing Kentucky to successfully compete in the global marketplace
- Improving the education attainment of Kentuckians at all levels
- Expanding Kentucky’s role as an energy leader
- Promoting wellness and healthy Kentuckians
- Modernizing government at all levels
